CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Organisations that take on board the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility are required to consider the economic, social and environmental impacts of their activities, wherever they operate in the world. The central concept is that individuals and groups have a stake directly or indirectly in an organisation.
In the case of Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority, direct stakeholders include Authority Members, employees and residents as customers of our service. Our indirect stakeholders are suppliers, non-profit organisations, governmental organisations, communities and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and other affected parties. We need to consider their interests in the delivery of our services.
