Appendix Four: Infrastructure Sharing Collection Modelling and Depot RationalisationThe Liverpool City Region Mayor and Leaders have commissioned an independent strategic review of waste management in order to identify opportunities for further efficiency savings in response to the financial austerity they face as Council budgets have been systematically reduced by the Government. The Review is being led by Councillor Ann O’Byrne, Deputy Mayor, Liverpool City Council and Councillor Graham Morgan, Chairperson of Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority who will be bringing forward proposals on a phased basis.
