Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority has been managing the region’s household waste for over 20 years and is entering a new and exciting phase in its history. Moving from disposal of waste to landfill through to recovering value from waste, the Authority has two major waste management contracts in place to improve the management of Merseyside & Halton’s waste through re-use, recycling and energy recovery.
We are now looking to recruit a dedicated and suitably experienced individual to work within a successful Contracts Management team to help achieve our contracts delivery ambitions.
You will take a lead role in ensuring the successful day to day operational delivery of the Authority’s existing ‘Waste Management & Recycling Contract’ and our ‘Resource Recovery Contract’, ensuring compliance, value for money and exceptional standards of service delivery.
The ideal candidate will ideally be educated to degree level (or similar educational equivalent), or have significant demonstrable experience of working in a waste and/or related contract management environment. You will be commercially aware with a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement and have a full driving licence.
