Our Services

MWDA takes the lead in waste disposal and promotes recycling across Merseyside. We operate (via a contract with Veolia Environmental Services) 14 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC’s) to householders in the Merseyside area wishing to dispose of their own waste. These are in addition to the waste collection and recycling schemes that are provided by individual local authorities. MWDA is also responsible for seven closed landfill sites across Merseyside.
