Code of Corporate Governance

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) is committed to the principles of good corporate governance and demonstrates this commitment through the development, adoption and implementation of the Code of Corporate Governance. This Code sets out the Corporate Governance arrangements which are currently in place, how the Authority will continue to review these arrangement and what improvements have already been identified to ensure its effective application in all aspects of the Authority’s work.

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority’s Code of Corporate Governance has been produced in line with the guidance outlined in the framework document published jointly by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) Corporate Governance in Local Government: A keystone for Community Governance.
